About

Bella Composers is a non-profit charity membership organization dedicated to recognizing and promoting the talents of women composers worldwide.

The membership is curated: interested composers must submit music scores and be selected by a review board of professional composers to become members of Bella Composers.

The organization will be launched with a composer’s competition: composers submit scores; a panel of composers/orchestrators rank top finalists; top finalists are recognized; the five winning scores will be performed live by famed virtuosos and an orchestra at a top LA venue (kicking off what will become an annual event).

One female composer’s work will be presented posthumously, resurrecting her composition for the world to hear. The awards ceremony and performance will be extensively documented (and even broadcasted).
